Our produce team works diligently to bring in the certified organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs you need to make delicious, nutritious, and visually enticing meals.
In addition to certified organic options, we also focus on offering a variety of locally grown vegetables from farmers we know and trust. Though the local produce may not be labeled as certified organic, you can trust these local options were grown using organic practices. This is because all the local farmers we work with at the Co-op are openly committed to using organic growing practices on their farmlands.
Being this is northern Minnesota you will start to see local produce on the shelves mid-summer through the fall harvest season. Watch for the local indicators listed on our product signage and check out our featured local farmers on the signage above the produce coolers.
Your Co-op grocery team works diligently to provide a large product mix that aims to meet the diverse dietary needs of the Iron Range Community. This includes gluten-free, allergy-friendly, vegetarian, vegan, keto, paleo, sugar-free, dairy-free options, and more.
Our products are selected with an emphasis on organic, local, and fair-trade varieties and we avoid products with artificial ingredients (such as colors, flavors, or preservatives), high-fructose corn syrup, and hydrogenated oils, as well as antibiotics, and growth hormones. We also work to offer products from companies focused on sustainable environmental practices and the humane treatment of animals.
Watch for signage highlighting hundreds of local products throughout the store and feel good about supporting the local economy as well as reducing food miles and carbon emissions. Here at Natural Harvest products are classified as local when they are produced within a 400-mile radius of the Co-op.
If you’re seeking a way to save money, reduce waste, and try smaller portions of ingredients before committing to a whole package, bulk is your answer. From nuts, beans, spices, herbs, and cereals to flours, sugars, coffees, snack mixes, and more, your Co-op offers an abundant selection of foods and ingredients available for purchase in bulk.
How It Works
1. Grab a container or bring your own
1a. If you bring your own container, weigh it while empty and write down its weight
1b. The container’s weight will be subtracted from the product at the register
2. Fill the container with the product of your choice
3. Write down the product PLU number and secure it to your container
4. A cashier will use the PLU number to ring up the item at the register

Looking for quick and delicious meal options? Your Co-op’s deli offers a wide variety of delicious foods featuring organic and local ingredients whenever possible. Your friendly deli crew cooks to meet the diverse dietary needs of its community by offering foods that feature wheat-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan ingredients.
In the deli, you will find a hot bar, salad bar, full-service coffee and smoothie bar, and fresh-baked pastries. You can also order hot sandwiches from our specialty menu or shop the prepackaged meal options from our grab-n-go cooler.
Deli seating is offered year-round inside the Co-op with a seasonal option to enjoy views of Silver Lake from our pet friendly outdoor patio. The Mesabi Bike Trail runs right along the patio making your Co-op the perfect rest stop to fuel up along your ride.
