We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and responsible person to join our team as our Produce Department Manager

The Produce Manager ensures that our customers are greeted with an abundant and fresh assortment of produce every day, at the best possible price points. The Produce Manager also ensures that all produce staff is well trained and ready to help our customers with all their produce needs.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) purchasing of all our produce, as well as pricing and merchandising it to achieve department sales, margin, labor and inventory goals. Supervising all produce staff, including hiring, training and evaluations. Our produce manager also continuously works with our established local growers and networks to grow our community of local growers, to ensure that our local produce offerings are a growing part of our inventory.

Qualifications include:

  • Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
  • Experience ordering, displaying, pricing produce and dealing with all aspects of vendor relations
  • Exceptional knowledge of produce and organic standards and a passion for freshness
  • Ability to display our produce creatively to ensure a fun and shoppable department
  • Experience working with data to meet product mix and department goals
  • Familiarity with natural foods and Co-ops a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, dropbox and other online communication tools

This is a full time position and eligible for PTO, Health and Retirement benefits, as well as our employee discount. Evening and weekend shifts will be required.
