Sandy’s Maple Pecan Pie
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1-1/2 c. chopped pecans (about 6 oz.)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Use your favorite pie crust, roll it out and put it in a 9” pie dish. Freeze crust for 20 minutes while you make the filling.
Whisk all ingredients except nuts in large bowl to blend. Mix in chopped nuts and pour filling into chilled crust.
Bake pie 10 minutes at 400 degrees F, then reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Bake another 30 minutes, or until filling is set in center. Transfer to rack and cool completely.
