Lovers of the fermented stuff, your class has arrived! Refrigerated buyer Becky Miller is your guide to this quick take on making your own Kombucha. This fermented tea helps support immunity, digestion, natural detoxification and energy. Start brewing your Kombucha at the class and take home your “SCOBY” (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria & Yeast) to make your own batch at home. Maximum 20 participants.

Flour 101 + More

Thursday, June 12, 6-7 p.m.

Join food historian Darlene Hodge for this look at flours both good and bad. Learn more about bleached flour, the importance of fiber, differences in carbohydrates, and how to manage comfort foods and diabetes through diet and lifestyle. Class fee is $15. $13 for members.

Natural Laundry Soap Making 

Thursday, June 19, 6-7:30 p.m.

Class fee is $30

Minimum 5 paid-in-advance participants by Tuesday, June 17.

Learn to make a stain-busting, scented or scent-free, water softening, & economical old-fashioned laundry detergent from scratch with the help of Brenna Kohlhase. This soap uses a coconut oil soap base. Go home with enough for about 30 loads of laundry!

Must be 16 or older.

If you have a box cheese grater you don’t mind using to grate soap, please bring it to class.
